DDD2000 is a customized release of DDD 3.3.8 that includes integrated support for the Abatron BDI-2000 JTAG emulator. This support includes an embedded telnet console, similar to the gdb console, as well as new menu items that allow a user to edit some configuration values as well as send command sequences to both the telnet console and the gdb console.
The telnet window has a simple command-line editor. Input is accepted at the prompt at the bottom of the window. Regardless of where the cursor is positioned, when keyboard input is displayed, the window is scrolled to the last prompt line.
A command line is buffered until a newline is parsed, then the command string is sent to the telnet agent. Backspace is supported to delete characters, but the user is not allowed to backspace over the prompt.
See the DDD2000 CookBook for details on how to install, configure and use DDD2000.
This version of DDD2000 is not completely integrated into the X window system yet. Display control is not provided in the menu system yet, the telnet console window is always displayed. When the DDD window is re-sized you will probably have to adjust the telnet window by hand. If the telnet window appears to disappear, look in the bottom right corner, near where the telnet window intersects with the gdb console window. The X icon for re-sizing the window should be visible and accessible, it looks like a plus sign (+).
