Recipes4Linux
Recipes™ computer and training services recorded here have all been applied in real-life projects undertaken by our team. They are an attempt to provide first hand accounts of how to use open source software with COTS hardware and JTAG debug tools. These are the only tools a competent software engineer needs to develop a Linux-based project from concept through simulation to live hardware.
The Monta Vista Recipes™ stem from one principal's work at Monta Vista Software as a Field Application Engineer. This stint was immediately followed by a 12-month contract project utilizing MVL2.1 on an x86 COTS target.
The BDI2000 Recipes™ stem from a long-term relationship with Ultimate Solutions, the US distributor of Abatron products. Our team has worked exclusively with the BDI-2000 emulator with embedded Linux targets.
The SBCPowerQUICCII Recipes™ stem from a porting effort to provide early Linux BSP support for Wind River hardware targets.
The Open Source Recipes™ stem from continual usage of quality, freely-available, open source software development tools.
